Matt Bomer was photographed attending the 8th Annual GLSEN Respect Awards at Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Friday (October 5, 2012). The 34-year-old “White Collar” star looked dapper in his suit, bringing on the smiles and posing for pictures at the GLSEN. He was joined by his boyfriend Simon Halls at the event that honored those individuals who made an impact on the LGBT community. The couple were presented with the Inspiration Award by Matt's college friend and “Magic Mike” co-star, Joe Manganiello. The two seemed to be very happy and extremely excited as they were honoured with their award. “When I was in high school, there was no safe haven, there was no outlet for you to speaking your mind. So I did what any self-preserving 14-year-old would do - I signed up for the school play and also the football team to cover my tracks. When that happens, when you aren't allowed to speak about who you are, one of the most authentic parts of who you are, which is who you love or is who you're attracted to, feels invisible,” Matt Bomer said when he accepted the Inspiration Award.
